About Us

Located on a habitat of Milo, Pearl Millet, Sunflower, Soybean, and Ragweed fields in mid-Western Missouri, Ozark Wings offers the best upland bird hunting in the area. We use only the finest Bobwhite Quail, Chukar, and Ringneck Pheasant of our own breeding for superior size and flight. Most of our quail grow to nearly 16 oz. According to our hunters, we have the highest quality stock of flight birds being offered in the world today.

Flight birds are set before your arrival, but we keep multiple coveys of quail, pheasant and chukar in the fields at all times. It is very common for our hunters to shoot many more birds than are released in our hunting packages! Our beautiful, easily maneuvered, and well-stocked fields lead to a quality hunting experience that brings our hunters back time after time.

Our Ozark Wings family also includes the finest bred Brittany Spaniels, who love to be in the field with repeat customers and new customers. We do have started dogs and puppies from time to time, so keep checking with us!

Chuck and Janet Purgason

Chuck began building Ozark Wings in 2001, with the help of his family, a few boards and wire, and a box of quail eggs.

Once serving as a hunting guide in Colorado, Chuck brings his love and passion for hunting to the preserve. He and his wife Janet are always pleased to welcome hunters and show them a good time.

Cory Purgason

Much like his father, Cory's passion is for hunting, fishing, camping; anything in the outdoors!

As co-owner and guide of Ozark Wings, Cory loves what he does, and he loves his dogs. Cory also trains the dogs at Ozark Wings, and occasionally trains the dogs of our hunters.

Jodi Purgason

Jodi is a jack of all trades, she loves to hunt, fish, and be out on the farm! She is a true country girl, a talented artist, and a fantastic decorator. Come admire the work she did in our clubhouse!

Eli Purgason

Eli is the youngest on the team but by far the hardest working. His first words were chicken, tractor, and "Gotta go!".

If you're lucky, you'll get to see this little guy around, but I doubt you will be able to catch him!
